Has anyone ordered custom made furniture from Avant Garde Designs (with shops in Pacific Place and Ocean Terminal)?

I want to order a custom bed from them as they can paint the bed with environmental friendly paint (my son has asthma) and I'd like any feedbacks anyone has on that shop.

I previously ordered a bed from Art Deco but the paint smell seems to never go away so I gave it away. I am hoping Avant Garde would be better.

Not first hand experience myself but was taliking to a friend a week ago - she had furniture made for her son but she told me the paint just reeked for weeks. She's not that happy with them.

Looks like tailor made furniture always has this paint smell problem.

Looks like the safest bet is just to buy a bed from ikea.
