Australian Kids Banned from Birthday Tradition at School

Was surprised that Australian schools have new guidelines on birthday celebrations in classrooms. To avoid spreading germs, candle blowing is now banned.

Any schools in HK do this too?

I don't know if any schools here in HK do this but the post above is misleading.

1) blowing candles is not banned. Kids can most certainly do it. They just want parents to provide a separate cupcake for blowing.

2) from what I gather in their publication, it is not actually schools but in Daycare centres only (for kids below 5).
