Australian citienship - photo required

hi there,

i am keen to get my australian citizenship organised for my daughter.

i have all the forms but was wondering if anyone has anymore information with regard to photos as there are not any set parametres outlined.

or can someone suggest a shop in central which can do these photos to Aus Gov requirements.

if you can assist, please help.

Most Fotomax shops provide ID photo service, they know the required parameters for different kinds of IDs, just tell them you want to take photo for your australian passport.

There is one in Prince bldg, shop information as follows:

i have just done this for my son.
I used the Fotomax at pacific place 3 and had no problems

for the citizenship application they are not fussy about the photo. for the passport application they are much more stringent. the photo i had taken at fotomax was fine for both.

(my son was 4 weeks old when we had the photo taken)

i did one for my girl too. did it at Fotomax in Olympic station, but there's another one in Central MTR station, one level below from airport express.

my girl was 3 months old, and my first photo showed one of my hands showing holding her, which was no good. apart from this they are not that strict, even accepts photos taken at home with a plain white background.

Don't forget that after you've got both citizenship(also will get a paper with condition of stay) and a passport, you need to go to immigration to transfer this visa stamp on a paper onto your baby's passport. i did this yesterday, took me 2 hours.
Go to 5F immigration Tower, Wanchai, they open from 830am.
