August 2011!

Thanks KBear. Does anyone on here have children already and fancy meeting up during the week one day with kids? I cant really meet at the weekend as always busy with my husband organising things to do with the new house we move to next month, plus would be great for my son to meet other playmates. If anyone is interested my son is 2 (nearly 3) and we could go to a playcentre or park.
 
Yay, I gained two pounds last week! Told you guys I've been eating like crazy! Finally paying off!! That puts me at... four pounds gained so far an 23 weeks, but at this rate I will catch up quick! Can't stop eating....

I've just discovered this forum. I'm due at the end of July with my first bb, eek! (Although I'm due in July, I'm trying my luck on the August thread too.) I'm from UK, live in Mid Levels and booked to deliver at the Matilda with Dr Ghosh. Although I've lived in HK for a few years, I don't know many Mums. I'd love to meet up with other Mums-to-be to chat and share experiences. Please let me know if there is a group of you that meets that I could join. Hi Ladies

I'm actually due in Dec, so am part of the other due -date club. However i really wanted to read about your experiences so far, as you are a few months ahead of me, so can probably give a bit of advice/guidance.

I'm a first time mum, and have my 12 week scan next week. I'm booked into Matilda and was fortunate enough to get a place.

Are you ladies planning to meet anytime soon? It would be nice to meet other mums to be, regardless of the due date.

Hello, I'm due in early August and new to Geobaby! Hope everyone's pregnancies are going smoothly! At 32 weeks, we are sssssso ready to meet our little girl! It's so exciting but I get worried and paranoid about every little thing! I guess it's the hormones :-)

Congrats on the good ultrasound, MamaSo! My doctor is horrible at getting good pictures (or maybe just doesn't see the need to take pictures of anything other than important body parts to measure, like femur bones, etc...) but we did see on the screen a really adorable shot of baby Chloe (we've finally decided on her name!) with her hands up under her face like making a sleeping pose, and opening and closing her eyes and mouth. It was pretty cute, even though of course we have no pictures.... :)
 
Nanny anyone?

Still looking for a nanny...its been more difficult than i had imagined but need one desperately as i intend to get back to work full time.

Wondering if anyone came across some in their search that were good but perhaps didnt meet their requirements?

I need a full time, live in with prior new born experience and great employer reference.

Aww..that is soo sweet. And Chloe is a wonderful name! I thought i had zeroed in on name but changed my mind just yesterday!
 
Thanks MamaSo! I thought we had decided on one earlier too, but then suddenly my husband didn't like it so we had to change it. Hopefully she's gonna stay Chloe now! Unless she turns out to be a he, as my aunt keeps worrying about since it happened with her youngest! (but vice-versa!) I think we're good though, because we've had so many ultrasounds and they haven't mentioned anything between the legs!

Hi August moms! I had my baby girl a few days early on July 28th. Her name's Chloe Hoi Wan and I am in love. I hope the births have gone well for those of you who have already delivered, and may all go well with those who are still waiting! When people feel up to it, I would love to meet up!!
 
Congratulations Erin!!! I think most people have had their now too, many congratulations on Chloe! I think girls are in the minority for this due date club, everyone seems to be having boys! I am still 10 days away... still don't know what it will be but hoping it's happy, healthy and maybe a little bit early!
