Hello. My name is Micah and I'm a 21 year old American moving to Hong Kong anround the first week of May. My fiancee is moving ahead of me and I am in search of work. I have about 6 years of babysitting experience and a year of experience nannying 3 children (ages 1, 3, and 5.)
I'm really just interested in whether or not there is real desire for au pairs in Hong Kong. I love children and would love to find work as a nanny/au pair, (who can do some cooking and cleaning but not be a DH) when I join my fiancee. I've read that there is some trepidation among mothers at hiring a young woman as an au pair due to the tittilating night life in HK. I will say that I am not much of a partier and am moving to HK to work along side my fiancee and to experience a new and different culture. I would not be a "permanent hangover" or even a temporary one for that matter.
So, long story short; Is there interest among you mothers for au pairs?
