Assisted conception success rates-Hong Kong

Hello

I am new to the forum and moving to Hong Kong in August.
I am in the middle of some ivf treatment with my 2nd clinic in London.
I changed to a clinic with better success rates which is the 'top' for outcome in London UK.
Unfortunately as we are moving I wont get to do a cycle here.

I have a 5y old child but no success since.

As I have taken some immunosuppressive treatment recently I want to continue the treatment and try again in Hong Kong.

Can anyone tell me where to view clinic statistics? Is it true that the Sanitorium has the best results?

Lastly the treatment I'm on, is quite new (since I failed a GIFT and 2 ivfs before) this is a new approach.
Is there a clinic well-abreast of new developments that is likely to adopt the same/similar approach.
I would like a clinic which monitors obsessively during treatment. Though I wont overstimulate (I'm over-40) the new clinic I'm at monitors (scans/bloods/dosage adjustment) far more than my prev clinic and other clinics, which probably (they say) accounts for the consultants very good success rates.

A friend has a great story of going on holiday without her husband and coming back pregnant with twins! Have you thought about going home for a month to do a cycle on your own?

Wellcome to HKH. I havent gone through as much as you have but have been doing fertility treatment with IUI's. I've visited most of the so called "top notch" infertility specialists in HKH including the womens clinic. I've heard a lot of good things and know of many who have been succesful with Dr Christine Choy although I myself am yet to start a cycle with her. She is UK qualified and that might interest you as well. Her appointments are never rushed and answers all your questions even if you email her. Her contact no is 3112-0480. Try speaking to her itself as her nurses are quite new an can be a bit frustrating. You can also email her at [email protected]

Besides I might be moving to London end of thid year. Hence would appreciate if you could share your Drs name and contact details in case I would still be needing it by the time I move.

Presumably the person's partner stored sperm at the clinic?

The clinic that is the top of the league tables (HFEA report 2005) is ARGC. The consultant is Mr Taranissi.

Hi Louise, The friend I mentioned already had fertilised eggs in storage back home. She'd already had a son from the same batch and her twin girls came from her last two eggs which she was warned didn't look like they were capable of becoming anything. Instead she had twins at 41 (eeek!).
 
P.S. If you need a good rheumatologist for your immune system Dr. Chan Tak Hin is brilliant.

Yes someone on another board mentioned that rheumatologist. Also that they work with Dr Ho.

Does anyone know where the clinics sucess rates would be published. Do the Hong Kong clinics have to publish their ivf results like in UK (it is the law here when embryos are created) Certain treatments success do not require publishing eg GIFT with own eggs but ivf does.

Hi

The Dr Chan (Reheumotologist) who works with Dr Philip Ho is Dr Chan Ka Ho and he is at Rm 304, New World Tower, 18 Queens Rd, Central tel 2522-6626.

As far as I know I dont think there are any success rates published anywhere in HKH.
