I am looking to bring my 2.5 year old to some art/drawing or gym/sports classes in the afternoon after his school.
Does anyone has any good recommendations in Causeway Bay, Tin Hua or North Point area?
Thanks a lot !
We have just started at Sportscene in Tin Hau - they do "proper" gymnastics rather than the "play-gym" type. The classes are run in Cantonese, but there are a few English speaking students in the class, and all the instructors speak English to them, so it doesn't matter that the class is in Canto. And better yet, the class is only $125 for an hour - most other "expat" places are double that. My daughter (who is mixed but speaks no Cantonese) loves it
For art and crafts I recommend My Happy Sunflower in Wan Chai, right next to the MTR station. It's not on HK Island but my son has been going to the YMCA since he just turned 3-years-old (about a year) for classes. He has taken gymnastics, tae kwon do, basketball, soccer and swimming and in the Spring he'll start golf. He really liked gymnastics, soccer, basketball and is still doing swimming. Quite affordable classes.
Yes--in the YMCA building there. We live all the way out in the New Territories and still don't find the time and effort to bring our son in for classes to be all that burdensome. It takes us about 45 minutes-1 hour to travel there (one-way) but my son has really benefitted from and enjoys the classes.
