I was so happy that they have added a sept-dec babies due section on this site! I recently found out that we are pregnant (7 wks) and wondered if anyone else is as well?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hello Shantalent!

I guess you are 11 or 12 weeks pregnant. I am just 8 weeks now, how is going on with you? My experience so far a bunch of rollercoaster feelings. Some days I'm very happy, some days I'm very worried, some days I just don't think about it. Is this common for everyone? was it for you?
Hope everything is going ok with you,
All the best!!!! keep growing!

Yes, the same!

Hi there Minus!
Thanks for writing!
I am 8 wks too, so same as you! This is my first, so have no idea what to compare it too, but yes, emotions are generally all over the place (or so my husband says!) :)

Have you had morning sickness? I have had nothing, so should be very happy from what I hear. The only thing I have had are a little tiredness and sore b's!!!

I am not working during the day, so if you are in the same situation and would like to meet up, please let me know. Always like to meet others!

Tks,
Shannon

Hi

As my name suggests my wife is looking to give birth in October and she is currently 8 wks pregnant. I do try to get her to go onto forums but I think she is a bit shy.

I think it would be a good idea if she met others who are going through a similar experience as her. It is our first child, we are both very excited.

Meeting up

Dad-to-be:

This is also our first and I am just 8 wks. pregnant as well.
I would love to meet your wife if she would like to get together with someone.

We just moved to Hong Kong, so I do not know many people. This forum is a great way to get past that hurdle and being so far away from home - it makes it easier to transition I feel.

If your wife would like to get together or all four of us (my husband) and you as well, I would be more than happy to.

Just let me know.
Tks for writing,
Shannon :)

Sounds like a good plan shantalent.

Will PM you details :burnout:

(PS - Rani, why does the 'agree' icon look distinctly dodgy....?!?!?!)

Yes - sounds good. Maybe a coffee on a sat afternoon or something like that. Sending me private message with email address should get the ball rolling.

Hi all, yes, so happy to see that there is already a chat area for parents whose due date is the end of 2007.

my due date is the end of Oct. it's my second pregnancy.

shantalent - good that you don't have any morning sickness. I didn't have it either in my first pregnancy, really lucky.

minus - I like your description - rollercoaster feelings. I don't have serious morning sickness this time, but don't have the mood to eat as well. Anyway, try not to eat lots of food each time; prefer some snacks in between, such as crackers, fruits or biscuits, will make you feel better. Having rich protein or carbohydrates food will help a bit, such as milk, bread and egg in early morning, and drink a glass of milk before sleep will help. The rollercoaster feeling will become worse if your blood level is low, that's why it's a good idea to eat snacks;

Hi there,

I am an Aussie girl just moved to Hong Kong from Singapore (in London before that). I am 9 weeks pregnant with first and would love to meet/chat with anyone having same experiences. Morning sickness has seriously kicked in the last week which is a bummer as thought I had avoided it!

Please let me know if any future plans to meet up.

Cheers

Same feelings!!

Hi Vrombola!
I am SOOO glad you wrote, because I am definitely feeling the same as you. I thought I had missed morning sickness as well and then last week (start of week 8) I started feeling nausious and have been since. No getting sick involved (knock on wood), but definitely in no shape to attempt going out until afternoon.

Would love to get together.
Feel free to email me at [email protected] if you would like to meet.

Tks!
Shannon

Hi, sorry to hear about both your belated morning sickness. I am mother of 13 month old daughter, currently 9 weeks pregnant with my second. I am living on the Mid-levels, and I think I read somewhere that Shannon is too. I see that you guys are new to Hong Kong, so if you would like to meet up/chat about pregnancy/places to go in Hong Kong, just PM me.

Hello girls,
I'm a new Aussie also arrived to HK. I've been here just over 2 weeks now! Found out I'm about pregnant. I'm now almost 5 weeks. So far no morning sickness..but sounds like Shannon & V didn't get it until 8 weeks so maybe I won't continue to be so lucky.
I'm staying in midlevels at the moment (will move to Happy valley area in a few weeks)..would love to meet up with you girls.
I'm free any evenings after work (I don't finish late).
Please let me know if you organise anything!
Jane

pregnant and new in town

Hi Girls,

Good to hear there are others in the same situation. I arrived in HK from Australia nearly a week ago and I am 8 weeks pregnant (my first). I am currently living in mid-levels and would love to meet some new people. Please let me know if I can join you for a catch up.

Cheers Cath.

baby due in December

Hello,

I am 8 weeks into my pregnancy and I am slowly getting used to it. It is my first child and I am very happy about it. I have less energy especially in the morning and during the middle of the day. But otherwise I am fine.

However, I constantly worry about not doing anything, which could harm the fetus. I suppose that is part of becoming a parent - meaning that you from now on always is going to be concerned about your child's well being.

Hi ladies, and dad's to be :)

My name is Helle, and I just recently found out that I am 8 weeks pregnant, due in early Dec.

Its my first baby, so naturally I am anxious about what to do/not to do etc...
I live in TST, and work in Repulse Bay in the mornings. (Thankfully no morning sickness yet....but again...looks like I may not be out of the 'danger zone' yet...crossing fingers!)

I would love to meet up with other expecting mothers for advice, gossip etc.
PM me and we can arrange to meet up for a coffee etc!

Looking forward to your replies/messages

Helle

Hi everyone,

Here's another first-time mom-to-be in Midlevels. Due in late November but with twins so likely to be early November. I suspect I've missed the lunch that you were planning for this week but please keep me in the loop for future get togethers.

Thanks a bunch.

Lisa
