anyone gave birth at Hong Kong Snatorium Hospital?

Hi Little Sumo - Thanks for your input. what did you find so good about the Sanatorium? Did you have a c-section or natural birth? Thanks.
 
csection. the nurses were attentive and understanding... hard to put it into words; i just know in my gut that Sanatorium was the one for me. picked Sanatorium as well for a relatively major surgery before the birth of my little one. they took good care of me then as well. hence, i knew i would be in good hands. of course the gynae is another important factor to consider.
 
I had my daughter at the sanitorium 6 months ago. My experience was so so. I agree some of the nurses are quite nice but some not so. They are not that helpful with breastfeeding. It was my first time breastfeeding and I received no help from the nurse in the baby room. So I was just sitting there in the curtained room with a crying baby in my arms!! I guess it was because there were so many babies and so few nurses. I had to wait until I returned home and had my confinement nanny help with breastfeeding.

I know my answer is not very apporiate for this thread. But if anyone is looking for good breastfeeding support and attentive nurses, I would say Matilda have the best.

I had my BB at Sanitorium and my experience was so so. I have stayed there before and the nurses there were wonderful. However I agree with Pea soup that some of the nurses in the baby room are not that nice. I guess they have some many babies crying and so many mothers asking them the same questions and some mothers just can't get it right so they can be a bit impatient and frustrated. I found them unhelpful and unfriendly for the first few days and then later they seem to have warmed up or know me better so they became more helpful and friendly. In the end, I brought them chocolates to thank the nurses.
 
any other mums who have recently given birth at the Sanitorium who can share their experience? I'll be giving birth there soon and just wanted to see what I should prepare for. Thanks!
