Anyone due in March?

Hi ladies congratulations to you all!! I'm due on February 28 and it's my first one. All new to me so would be great to meet with you.

Hi ladies

Congrats and it's good to meet people who are sailing in the same boat. It's my first and I'm due 10th March. I'm excited but for the past few days I have been suffering with terrible nausea:( I'm trying to keep some liquids down but even the smell of food is putting me off. Hope this passes soon and we can catch up.

Yes keen to meet up! I'm moving this weekend then not long after heading off on holidays coming back 1st September. So I would have to propose a date in that month, how about 12 or 13th September for brunch? Obviously you ladies should meet before that if you can!

September is perfect for me Teenytiny. We are just settling in so will be busy for the next month setting up our apartment and starting a new job. I would love to catch up with whoever is around. Alyson I have just started getting nausea quite badly too. I'm put off food but try and make myself eat anyway because it makes it better. Even if it's just a piece of fruit, cucumber or something fresh! Hope you start to feel better in the next couple of weeks! Remember nausea is a good sign that your pregnancy a going well! (midwife told me this yesterday)

Hi everyone September is good for me too. I'll be travelling too from 24 September for about 10 days. So anytime before that is good.

Congratulations to all. I was directed to the forum by KateD. I am due baby #2 end of Feb. Would love to catch up with some of you in Sept. Did someone mention a closed FB page has been opened?

Hi everyone, congratulations to you all! im a first time mummy as well. going through absolute morning sickness misery right now with all day nausea and night time vomiting. Im due 29 February, but I hear your first one could be a bit late so I may have a March baby. I would love to meet up with you all if your schedules allow.

Haha leapyearbaby. That's what I thought and my 1st came 3 weeks early. Hoping this one doesn't as Chinese New Year baby could prove to be an expensive birth!

Hi Kate- I've heard the same thing, most mums in DB deliver on HK Island. They tend to go at the start of contractions and have to wait around for a long time, but better too early than too late I suppose :-)

Hi Teenytiny, great that we have due date twins :). Yes it does get expensive when you add on the OB and anaesthetist fees when going private, especially at Matilda. I'm not sure if the doctors charge different fees at different hospitals, it would be interesting to know if they do. My insurance also only covers a part of the total cost (can't remember how much) but I somehow don't mind, it was really very good and your partner and baby can stay in the room with you the whole time, which isn't common at other hospitals. They do tours for new mums considering delivering there, maybe check it out?

Hi Nav, sure lets try to arrange a meet up, mocktails sound great! Strangely with my first pregnancy I felt fine in the first trimester but I hear you on the toast side of things this time around ....

@ Teenytiny - Where did you go for your early pregnancy scans? I am about 7 weeks now. And am too deciding whether to go public or private.

MamaEm - I am seeing Dr Edwin Tam at OT&P in Wan Chai. He is lovely! I'm very comfortable with him and have been seeing him a while as I needed clomid to ovulate when trying. He can only deliver privately, not at public hospitals. Which is a shame!

Hi Nav how are you doing? I think we may have met today at the Annerly clinic for the talk. I didn't get your details as you had to leave. But it would be great to meet you again.

Hi srajul48 lovely to meet you today.
It certainly was an insightful session, gave me a lot to think about and plan.

It'd be great to get together, feel free to email me directly on the address I left for Rani in my previous post. It was a shame I had to leave, but would be great to hear your thoughts on what we learnt today.

Speak soon x

I will join the Facebook group as well but after my 12 week scan results which is when we plan to share our news. HK is so small and I have a few friends pregnant due in Jan and Feb that may already be on there!

I had Edwin Tam for my first and definitely will be going to him for number 2. He is great, very easy going but listens and gives you time to ask questions

Pineapples it'd be interesting to know if you had a natural birth or C-section with Edwin Tam for your first pregnancy?

srajul48 and Nav glad you enjoyed the chat at Annerly! I went last week and it put my mind at ease! There so helpful and lovely. Are either of you going to do antenatal classes through them? I would love to go the whole package but can't really afford to spend that much so might just do the class they offer.

KateD I am probably going to do my classes at Matilda as that's where I'm looking to deliver. I agree things can really add up and are not cheap.

Hi Ladies,

Congrats to you all! I'll be due early March with my first! Very exciting, and a little scary.., just arrived in HK 3.5 months ago. We decided go the public route. I read that some of you have gone to Annerly - I did as well, which really eased my mind. We're now planning to go with their best of both package.

Would be really happy to meet up! I saw there are plans to meet up in September?
