Hi I'm also due in August. We are moving to HK in two months' time from London. Anyone knows if it is easy for me to register in Queen Mary Hospital with only two months before the due date?

Welcome to Hong Kong! You're going to love it here. Is this your first child?

Queen Mary is a government hospital and they can't turn you away if you're a HK resident. Do you know where you will be living? All the public hospitals are now zoned and you can only deliver there if you live in their zone.

You do need to register for prenatal care. Here's a list of some of the government clinics. Tsan Yuk does all the prenatal care for QM.

This is my secold time being a mum-to-be. My first son is just turning 18 months. He loves eating Chinese food so I think he will love HK too!

We plan to live on HK island. Will it be sufficient to keep us in QMH zone?
 
Hi Yanyan, welcome to HK. From what i can see the zones are shown on the Hospital Authority page yes you are in the QMH zone if you live on the island on the left hand side as you look at it on a map. Type in Hong Kong Hospitals West cluster into google and it should tell you the catchment area. Happy Moving!

New on the forum, I arrived 2 years ago in HK and I'm pregnant with my 2nd child, due date September 1st but I guess baby will arrive sooner ;).
