Hi All!

I just moved here with my 2 month old baby and husband from Australia and looking to connect with some breastfeeding mothers to discuss and share experiences. I'm still new at this parenting thing and would love some company on this journey.

Feel free to send me a private message.

hope to meet some of you!

Hello tweissel! I have been breastfeeding my 15 day old baby since day 1 and loving it. Would love to meet other breastfeeding moms too! :-)

Hi guys! I'm still breastfeeding my 22 months old :) How long are you guys planning to breastfeed your little ones?

Haha thanks jielian.. that's amazing you're planning on the extended nursing! I initially thought I'd quite after the first six months and I thought about giving up every six months after that too as it was rather a rough ride for me with occurring mastitis (6 times so far and hoping no more), yeast infection, cracked nipples, the list goes on...! But, I believe, thanks to breastfeeding, my daughter rarely falls sick, is hitting every milestone earlier than other kids, and is emotionally stable and happy! Besides, the bonding that you can get from it cannot be described with words. Of course, it's a personal choice and though it's not the most common one around here I'm happy I've done that this long :-)

I am stil breastfeeding my 14 months but my milk supply dropped significantly since he is 12 months, probably due to hormonal changes. Any ways to keep up the supply as I want to breast feed him for 24 months

Congratulations on breastfeeding for 14 months BabySophie. How often do you feed your little guy?
The more you feed/pump the more supply you will have. Also drink lots of water, rest and perhaps take some Fenugreek. I would use it my cooking.

Congratulations on breastfeeding for 14 months! I have been bfing for 3 months only and I don't take anything except for water before and after I breastfeed. I have been told to have the baby latch as frequently as the baby wants and it would boost my supply due to supply-demand.

I do have friends who take lactation cookies, fenugreek and moringa. From where I am from they eat a lot of soups/food with moringa leaves.

I'm not doing anything special to keep the milk going except letting my daughter nursed as much as and as often as she wants (that includes the night time too). When I ask my now turned 2 year old if a lot of breast milk is coming out then she says "just a little" so I actually would never know even if she had not been having so much for the last 12 months... I think less milk is still ok after the kid turned one in nutrition wise but I assume it's more for her comfort?
