Hi All,

As you might have seen in my other posts, my helper does not seem to have dealt with kids before. and despite my training, she is'nt improving much

is there any books on childcare especially for someone who may not have exposure to this before.

I have heard about the courses but they are quite expensive and I really want to train her up a bit before I send her to anywhere like that.

Many Thanks!

Is there a particular age group that you're looking to cover? i've got numerous childcare books that are pretty good, but honestly none of them are on a level that our helper could read and really understand. if you're looking for a textbook like format, Child Care and Education by Tina Bruce is pretty good.

Newborns and 4-5 years age group

thanks a lot. i will check this out. yeah i was looking for something intended for nannies, helpers etc.

Cyber midwife Cecilia koh got a new book out that is worth checking. It is all about infant feeding starting from antenatal preparation up to cooking for your toddler and also a chapter on food related problems.
