Any bonus after 2 year contract?

Hi mothers! My helper will be finishing her 2 year contract with us soon and will be going home for her holiday. Just wondering whether mums out there gave their helpers any 'bonus' or 'red packet' for this. As we find her performance to be ok we have (at her request) given her 3 weeks leave instead of 2 weeks (what she is eligible for) and bought her cathay pacific air tickets. (at her request, so that she will not need to do an overnight transit in Jakarta, as she had planned her return to coincide with her new year, the tickets are also more expensive then regular tickets) I know it will be up to us whether we want to give her any 'bonus' , but will be happy to hear other mothers' views. Thanks!

We give bonus every half year as incentive for good work and showing our appreciation. We believe in discretionary bonus/monetary motivation rather than raise in base salary. It works well with our helper.

i should have said, we raised her salary by 10% for each contract. we also have given bonuses at different times during her contract, but not an automatic bonus just because it's the end of the contract. the bonuses we have given are tied to work well done.

We did not give an end of contract bonus but did increase her monthly salary for the new 2 year contract. We have been able to give her a one month bonus at Christmas the 2 years she has been with us.

Same situation as Starbucks for me, salary increase on end of contract and bonus at Christmas. We do tend to give them a bit of money if we can afford it if they are going home as it is an expensive business. Not really a bonus though, more a helping hand.
