Hi all, would like to ask if there was anyone here who have had the 20 week Anomaly scan at Pamela Youde (or other public hospitals)? I am asking because I do have a screening for Down Syndrome on Tuesday (12w2d) and antenatal checkup at 14w5d but in the actual paper they give out, the next time I'll be seeing them is for the glucose test then the swab then delivery.

Please advise, thank you!!!♡

The public hospitals are no longer offering the 20-week scan, as they're now doing the Downs Syndrome. You can do it privately.

I'm going through QMH and they only give me appointment slips one appointment in advance. So I got the 20 week scan appointment slip right after finishing the Down Syndrome scan. Maybe you will get it at the 12 week scan?

Some members from Kowloon side have reported the scans are no longer available at their clinic.

Wonder if QMH is the only one offering them?

I had mine 14 weeks ago, so QMH might also have changed in that time. I know of two people at QE that required a private scan at 20 weeks (they were told QE "was fully booked"). Maybe them not offering the service anymore was the real reason.

Maybe its case by case. Mums going to Princess Margaret were told to do it privately as well. Don't think its a recent change AKBM .

Could be that QMH is a teaching hospital and hence only one doing it?

I have mine at QEH, at the end of this month. It gets full very fast, and if they do not have any slots left, one has to go private.

My wife gave birth at Pamela Youde. She had the twenty week scan and the downs test at the womens clinic in central.

Hi all, just an update. I went to PYNEH today for my antenatal check up where they told me the results of my blood test and down syndrome tests and also listened to my baby's heartbeat. Surprisingly, they are still offering anomaly scans :-) I got a schedule on my 21w3d.

What is the downs test that you are referring to and was anyone having the invasive scans / tests?
