Most likely downtown. My dad lives in English Bay (but his condo is too small to fit us all!) and my brother is an apartment downtown as well.
In the past, we've stayed at Carmana Plaza which offers decent rates ($180/night, with kitchenette) but I'm hoping to explore other options to see if we can save on accommodation.
Cara, are you booking a rental car?? Now that I have fly dates, I've booked one with Hertz, just to be safe.

no. my mum and her husband have 2 cars. my brother and his wife and two kids will be driving from saskatoon after schools break for the holiday. if my hubby is able to come, we will have to rent a minivan for a few days, but if he doesn't we all fit in my mum's car.
i've never booked with hertz there. i've done alamo (steer clear!) and enterprise (quite a few times before my mum moved there).
we'll be staying in whiterock...
