A few months ago I found a helper (who has never been to Hong Kong before) that I like through a DH agency in Hong Kong. Everything was well and I received a letter from the immigration department saying that her visa is ready for pick up. But when I called the agency, I learned that they had gone out of business (phone's dead, email and fax bounce back, etc). Unfortunately they never gave me a copy of the contract, but I know I can get a certified copy from the Philippines consultate. So my question is does anyone know whether I can just go ahead and get her to HK by sending her the visa and the employment contract certified, or do I have to go through another agency and have this whole thing processed again?

I think you should be able to do it on your own. Just pick up the visa, along with the certified contract and courier it to the helper. She does need to get an exit clearance from the POEA. More info here:
