Agency fees

I have been quoted $2500 for agency fees which includes 1-time consulate fee, visa fees and 1 year guarantee (no medical). Is this quite reasonable? Comments or links to previous similar threads will be much appreciated. :thanks
 
should include the medical too....
we paid $2200 and it included all of the above...
keep in mind that the 1 year guarantee means that if it doesn't work out you STILL need ot pay the consulate fee and the medical and the visa fee, just not the agency fee again.
 
I paid around $3500 for everything. It was a direct hire so the agency did not have to look for someone for us. The DH did not have to pay any commission. Did I overpay?

I paid around the same as you for a Direct Hire but it included a one-way ticket from Manila.
 
no ticket included. i had to pay for a one way ticket which was $700-800 if i remember correctly
 
Thanks for your feedback - I suppose that if I get a local helper, there's no need to pay for a ticket to fly them over? What other fees are there apart from medical (the agency told me that it would only cost an extra $550 for this).
