If you are registered at Queen Mary but have the baby at Matilda can you still go back to QMH to have the post natal baby checks and care?
 
There are Govt Maternal and Well Baby Clinics across the island. You are entitled to take your baby there for their shots and developmental check-ups. Here's a list:

D was born at the Adventist. Shortly after we got home we received a letter from the Dept of Health informing us of the baby clinic in our area and the procedure to register.

So you do have the option of switching to public care after the baby is born.
