Adoption in HK

Hi,
We are currently living in China and adopting (via expat adoption programme for Australian passport holders living in China) here in China but shortly moving back to Hong Kong. We would like to adopt a 2nd baby and would like to adopt from HK as it will most likely be the easier to adopt from the place you are living.
Some questions:

1. Does anyone know of a specialist social worker, agency or other contact for expats wanting to adopt in HK - or do you go directly to Social Services and/or the Orphanage charities?
2. Does anyone know what the waiting time between adopting one child and being able to lodge the application to adopt a 2nd child in HK.

Thanks a lot.

1) You start with Social Services first. They are the gatekeepers for adoptions in HKG. I have never heard of anyone using agencies for Hong Kong.

2) I dont want to discourage you, but based on what you have said (Foreigner, not first child) you will be near the bottom of the list when it comes to priorities. No matter, its best to talk directly to Social Services.

I've seen lots of expat families who have adopted a second child. As your older child is also Chinese, i think that's an advantage.
