I want to cook ABC Pasta for my 10 months BB. Can anyone provide me a recipe or which brand of ABC pasta will you buy?

Thanks for helping.

Hi,

We buy the Barilla ABC pasta and its in both ParknShop and Wellcome. D enjoys eating his pasta with spinach in white sauce.

I know. The Baby Organix ABC pasta has been out of stock in ParknShop for the longest time. Try Bumps to Babes.

Pasta recipe

I have found ABC pasta in both PNS and Citisuper - in the pasta section, not the baby section.

Here is a recipe from this months Practical Parenting:

Creamy vegetable pasta (2 portions)

40g small pasta shapes
50g broccoli
25g green beans
3 tablespoons full fat cream cheese
fresh basil leaves (optional)
3-5 tablespoons full fat milk

Cook pasta according to directions on packet. Steam broccoli and beans until tender. Place pasta, vegetables, cream cheese and basil in blender. Process with enough milk to make a smooth paste. Serve half immediately. Chill the rest and use or freeze within 24 hours.

Mmmmm yummy.

Brocolli and yummy do not belong in the same post. :)

To paraphrase Papa Bush's sentiments and mine.

I normally skin and seed the tomatoes, then cook them until very soft. Add a little water if you like. They turn into simple tomato sauce. I add grated Parmesan/Cheddar cheese just before serving. Stir it in until it melts into the pasta and suace. My son first had this dish at about 10 1/2 months old. Do not use more tomatoes than necessary. Enjoy.
