A gift to a NB

Hi!

I just run out of idea of what is the good present to give to a newborn baby.This friend of mine just gave birth to a baby boy (second child) and we know that they have most of the baby stuffs.Any recommendations?ideas?

Do the stores here give gift certificates? At home (in Canada) you can get them for anywhere. Not the most personal gift, but very very practical, something a 2nd time mom would appreciate. You can also give a very small personal gift in addition to it.
Other than that, older sized clothes might be appreciated. Hand me downs will get tiring after a while.

My friend lives in Switzerland,so i dont know if any gift cert will work.Really hard to think abt the best gift if the baby got most everything.
