6mth waking up alot in night

Hi,
My boy has just turned 6 months, he has always been a great sleeper, was sleeping through the night from 8 weeks old. The last couple of weeks he is waking up every couple of hours, sometimes with a loud cry like he is in pain and the only thing we can do to settle him is give him a feed. i don't think he is hungry - he might be teething but not sure.

Is this common if a baby is teething or going through a growthspurt?
Anyone else have the same problem with a baby who slept great and now suddenly waking up alot?

We went through this at 4.5mths with our son. We`started him early on solids and the problem was fixed within a few days.

If teething is the cause, I've found a dose of panadol can really help them sleep better.

my baby also! We were so happy that he finally slept through the night - from 8pm till 7am! This didn't last long though... since he's 5 or 6 months, he started getting fussy at around 2am then every 2 hours (sometimes 1!). He cut his first front teeth at 6 months and has all symtoms of teething again. Don't know if there's any connection but that's the best explaination we can think of.
