6 weeks old sleeping all day....help!!

Help!!!!

How long should baby be awake during the day.
I have a 6-week old baby and seems to be sleeping all day. She feeds every 3 hours and as soon as she feeds, burps, change nappy - she just goes to sleep after 10 /15 minutes of being awake. Is this normal?

yup, it is normal for some babies. around 8-10 weeks they start to wake for longer and longer periods of time.

if you are concerned, talk to your doctor.

Mine was like that at 6 weeks. I was lucky if I got even 10-15 minutes out of him. It`s normal and enjoy it while it lasts!

yes... definitely normal for some. my son (almost 10 months now) was a big sleeper. didn't know he really existed until about 3 months. as long as she's feeding at regular intervals, i wouldn't worry.

you can try to keep her awake a bit but I know it was next to impossible to do this with mine.

but as stated above... if you're concerned just talk to your doctor
