So many problems at the moment. Firstly he (exclusive bf)suddenly rejects to feed from bottle. He used to be bottle feed once a day (Breast milk )at 5-6OZ on his last meal (6.30pm) then sleep through to 2am, then feed then up at 7am.
Now he rejects bottle so I have to bf him for all meals. His scedule at the moment is
5-6am up and feed
9am solid (around 2 tablespoons) + bf (around 5 mins) then sleep for 2 -3hours
12am feed (bf)
2pm feed (bf) + (around 2 tablespoons) of solid and sleep for 2 -3 hours
5.30 pm feed (bf)
8.00pm feed (bf)
10pm up and feed to sleep (not sure if he wants it but I feed him anyway, normally around 5 -8 mins before he falls back to sleep)
12am up and feed to sleep (same, not sure if he wants it)
3am up and feed to sleep ( same-not sure)
sometime he is up at 4.30am to feed then sleep till 6.30!
Babies should be able to sleep a bit longer at this age at night I would have thought.
He enjoys the solid and can carry on eating for up to about an ounce or 1.5OZ if I let him. Is that too much?
Some suggested that I gave him too little milk but he only takes 15 mins maximum (usually more like 10 mins). that'swhy I give him solid which I think he is more interested in. Am I doing the wrong thing? I just started this routine today and don't know what else to do!!!1
