4 year olds what K class?

Hi there,

I have 4 year old twins (born April 2005.) They turn 5 next year. Would they be eligible to start K2 in the 2012-2013 school year?

I haven't a clue what K waiting lists are like or what K's are in our local area. I am in Olympic/ Tai Kok Tsui.
I would appreciate any advice.

ummm....if your kids were born in 2005, they are older than 5 years old...

Oops thanks for pointing out my mistake. I meant to write 2008. The twins turn 5 next April.

my daughter was feb 2007, so one year ahead of your kids.
she is currently in k2. in sept she will be k3. however, if she was going to attend esf, then she would start P1 in sept.

so the coming sept, your twins will be k2.

My son is 4.5-years-old and is about to finish his K2 year. He will be in K3 in September. He was born in November 2007. At this point, K2 probably would be where they would enter but that also depends on their language level and the school you have chosen.
