When a baby engages it means he/ she decents into the mother's pelvis, at around 34- 36 weeks but can come up again too, so it isn't necessarily any indication that labour/ birth is imminent. Some babies dont engage up until birth.
1/ 5 means least engaged and 5/ 5 is fully engaged.
