3D/4D ultrasound

you can get them through the gov't for $1250 for hte first visit and $850 for subsequent visits. they gave us thumbnail printouts and a dvd with all the photos.
 
Hi- I had my 4d scanswith Dr. Doo, $1500 and that was for scan, print out pictures (4-5) and dvd with the scan on. Dr. Doo is very nice.
 
I'm just confused as to exactlly the difference between a 3D and 4D u/s. They say a 4D is one where you can see the movements in real time. I go to Dr. Dawkins and when we look at the screen the movements seem to be in real time. But I've heard his is 3D not 4D... Anyone who can help to clarify?
 
they are basically one and the same....the 4th "d" is time. so when you are having the scan, it is 4D. but the pictures you will see are 3D
 
Bekyboo44 - do you need a referral from your regular dr to see Dr Doo for the 4D scan or can you just make an appointment?
