37 weeks at QMH: private scan or check up for effacement?

Hi,
I am 37 weeks pregnant. The last scan I did privately around 30 weeks showed that the baby was bigger than average. In France I know they check your cervix for effacement, scan your pelvis to see if it's too small for baby to go through, check for dilation etc.. I don't remember they did any of those things for my daughter at QMH last time. Do you recommend getting them done privately? Thanks!
 
Yes, I would do it privately if you are concerned. I delivered my second child at QMH and they would not give me a scan at week 37. My first child was induced because she was not growing well towards the end, and my doctor was concerned the placenta was starting to fail a bit (she was right). So I had concerns my 2nd baby was also not growing well at the end, so I had a private scan done around week 38 to see if there I had the same issue. QMH would only do a belly measurement.
