I'm 34 weeks pregnant and for a few weeks now, I realized on a weekly basis my baby will have a slow day (either a Sat or Sun). There are movements but much slower than the regular days. He gets back on track on the weekdays.

Is this normal? Should I be worried?? Thank you.

if your baby is still moving, there is nothing to worry about.

i remember the days of worrying so much about the unborn child. i thought tha once the baby arrived safely, i would be less worried.... lol!

it sure doesn't work that way.

my first one only moved twice during the whole pregnancy so I wouldn't worry too much...just think of it as a break or sleeping time...also at 34weeks it's getting more cramped so moving frequently is more challenging, right?!?

If you are worried you should call your dr to have a chat. or speak to one of the midwives (if you are going private). My dr said that I should be feeling 10 distinct sets of movements by that stage in a 24 hour period. I ended up going up to the hospital in the weekend a few weeks ago as I was worried about not feeling anything for a day or so. Better to speak to someone that worry about it.

That`s interesting that your baby slows down on the weekends. Is that when your husband is home? If so, maybe there is more action in your body, from talking and moving around (going shopping etc), and your baby is lulled by the stimulation. He/she could also be straining to hear daddy`s voice:)
Anyway, by this time your baby is getting pretty big and movement is slowing down regardless, as there`s less roomin there. You`ll still feel them everyday but just not all the gymnastics as before.
