thanks for attaching the photo... i really couldn't figure it out...

that baby is almost twice the size of my TWO kids combined birth weights!

i was thinking the same thing...must have been diabetes or something else to cause the baby to be so big.

imagine though, buying all of the baby things only to find that your newborn needs size L diapers and clothes for an 18 month old! yikes!

Yep c/s. Her other two children were delivered by a midwife though, according to the Australian ABC news.

And she had diabetes, that was also mentioned in the article.

My son was 4.75kg (10lbs5oz), was 58.5cm (23in)and I delivered vaginally, no gestational diabetes.

I now have prolapse and chronic hip pain. Not to mention the fact that I wasn't able to sit down for about 6wks post partum.

hmmm... my first was 2.51 kg, my second 2.47.... that is just over your one, koan....it's amazying what our bodies can do!

Gestational diabetes I heard too, and probably no (or not sufficient) pre natal care, otherwise they wouldn't let this happen.

And I was pretty impressed with myself delivering 15 1/2lbs of twin ...?! And my first was not small or short either ...

The mother is diabetic and for that it is quite possible to have huge babies but still 19 lbs is a lot larger. My sin was not even that much at 1 year
