What is your 15 month old sleeping schedule like? I think mine is transiting from two naps to one. In the past week or so, it is like one nap is not enough and two is not possible. He goes down for the morning nap with resistance but bedtime has become tearful.
As he turned 15 month, he stays awake longer. Now, he wakes up somewhere between 530am to 630am, takes a morning nap 4 to 5 hours later, around 10am ---10:30 for about 1.5 hour. Then nothing would make him take a nap in the afternoon. He gets really tired around late afternoon so we have to put him to bed as early as 5:30pm to 6pm.
He used to get up around the same time, napped once in the morning and one in the afternoon. Then go to bed at around 7pm.
We accept that he needs only one nap. But we are thinking how we can move that one nap towards the midday. We, the adults would really like to shut eyes for a while. He still takes one drink of milk in the middle of night and I am in a first trimester with my second.
We really hope that he could have his only nap around 12pm. This way, it is easier for us to catch a nap too. What adjustment should I make to make him nap around midday? If he naps around midday, he could also go to bed a bit later and won?t wake up so early.
Some friends suggest that not to let him nap in the morning doesn?t matter what time he wakes up and push that one nap back to midday to see what happens. I am not sure if I want to do this because I know that he wakes most days around 530am. By 1030am, he is tired, over stimulated and fussy. Well, these transition days he is already irritable and throws fits easily. I think it is a combination of teething and tiredness.
