10 mth old suddenly hates bath time

Hi moms, anyone else's babies started doing this?? My little girl loved water till abt 2 wks ago, now she crys to get out! Water temp, night time bath schedule is all the same, so not sure wht the problem is...any thoughts??? Thanks!

Perhaps now she is more aware and knows that bath time means she is going to bed but she still wants to play? :)
 
At some point children learn what fear is, it could be that this has happened. Maybe put less water in the bath or more toys to distract her. This worked for us for a while.
 
How about moving bath time to the morning and she won't associate it with going to bed. We used to massage baby in the morning, and then bathe him and he would have a nap for an hour or so. However when he outgrew the baby tub, he was afraid of the big tub and would cry and try to climb out. Finally I jumped into the big tub with him and showed him how fun it is. Got some new toys as well. I think I only had to do this once. :)
 
We had an incident like this which we ended up tracking back to the nanny accidentally spilling water on our son's face while trying to wash his hair (the boy jerked his head back and got a good dose of it). He was scared of bath time for about a week after that, but it got a lot easier by having mommy get in and hold him in the tub and play with him while he was getting a bath. Bath time quickly because fun time once again.
 
Thanks all ,, seems she's over the fear now.. Read somewhere that babies dev fears around 8-10 mths to things that never use to bother them.. Hope that end that:) thanks!!
