1 year old wetting the bed

Our son is 1 year old and every morning he wakes up wet through. I've tried using a few different types of nappies, pull-ups and lately I've even tried putting on 2 nappies at a time but it still doesn't hold all the wee in. He sleeps on his side so it always leaks out on the side and goes right through his pyjamas and grobag to the sheet. He has quite sensitive skin (regular nappies give him a rash) and until now I've always used eco, chlorine free nappies but have had to use huggies/pampers etc to try and stop the night wetting. I could set an alarm and sneak in and change him around 4am but wanted to see if anyone else had the same problem or suggestions?

Thanks!

The exact same thing is happening with our 9 week old baby, even though we use good quality (expensive) nappies! He sleeps in our bed, and when he wakes up to feed he is often soaked on one side (the side he sleeps on). Poor little guy then needs to be completely changed in the middle of the night - not fun for him or mummy especially when its cold. Aside from trying to pre-empt it and change him before this happens, not sure what to do...

can you have them sleep on those sheets that they make mommies sleep on after giving birth? it soaks up pee very well so at least it is not so the bed is not so wet, and you don't have to change the bed sheets so often. that's happened a couple times to my daughter too - all i do know is make her pee before bed time...but i'm not sure about the 9 week old...

Goon diapers. And when you put them on for nighttime, make sure the front is jp a bit high, and the sides are fastened tight. Had this problem a lot before.

9 week old? Can you put him to sleep on his back instead of his side?

I had the same problem few weeks ago with my 5 1/2 month old, when I switched to diapers size M. Problem improved when I switched back to S. Seems that size M is too loose fit on the sides for my baby, although size S is slightly low rise for my baby. I guess it is because my baby is long, but skinny.

He sleeps on his back but I roll him towards me to feed him when he wakes overnight. Last night I tried not to roll him and we had no leaks! :)

Here are a few options:
1. Try giving him his night time bottle a little earlier in the evening in the hope he pees before bed.
2. I have had friends that have put two nappies on
3. I used to change the nappies before I went to bed (around 10 or 11pm). Didn't always work but sometime did.

Good luck.

I've always used the pampers baby dry night time nappies (from bumps to babes) and never had a problem. They aren't cheap but I don't mind as I'm only using one a day.
