07 Evening group - different venues, partners meetup

Hi all

Just thought I'd start a thread for discussing the ideas we'd had about:

1/ Occasional meetings in each others homes (Ursula and Lisa have both said they'd be willing to host us)

2/ A dinner or other event with partners invited, so they can discuss impending fatherhood, or more likely talk about something completely unrelated. Anyway, we'd get to eat better food than Pacific Coffee's!

We'll probably want to wait til Lisa returns from holidays to kick off any of these, but I just thought I'd put the ideas out there.
 
Hi All,

I just got back from Sydney, so have missed the last two Thursday meet ups. Anyway, I am also happy to host a partners drinks/nibbles/dinner etc. at our place as well. We are located in mid-levels.

I'm happy to host too, but I'm less convenient than most... maybe later when less people (inc. me) are working.

Another easy option now the weather is nicer is the public rooftop podium thingy at IFC (lifts from outside CityS) - we've used this area before (Max's first birthday, and my most recent one) - there is harbour view seating, fresh air, and people can choose what they want to eat/drink - PCC's delicious variety of dry muffins/coffee, or all the bad anti-preg stuff you can get in CS. Here it's still easy to pop in and pop out.

Also dinners would be good too.

Anything is fine for me, really.
 
Inconvenient maybe but I'd like to check out the Chau lifestyle ;-) The IFC podium bit is an excellent idea - one of the few nice public spaces in central HK.
