First One!?

Hi ladies,

I am so excited that I have found this forum. My husband and I are currently living in Vancouver and will be relocating to China next month. My due date is Sep 5th and will be having my baby (our first) in Hong Kong. I was born in Hong Kong; however, my family moved when I was really young. It will be interesting moving to HK when I'm 7 months. Anyways, looking forward to know you all and getting advice from all the moms out there.

Welcome back in HK then, and congratulations for your baby ! Hopefully there will be plenty of occasions to meet, so see you soon !

Thanks Frenchy! I was wondering have you all booked your hospitals yet? It seems like all the maternity wards in Hong Kong are filling up pretty fast. I will be delivering at Matilda with Dr. Lucy Lord. Anyone been to her? I have read mixed reviews, but since I was concern about getting a spot at Matilda I called her because she was on their list of residents.

Loubiaddict- i have booked and paid deposit for Matilda.... heard so many stories of it being booked out and needing to have bed booked by end of 1st trimester, so didn't want to get stuck in that position. I'm seeing Dr Ferguson so there was no isssues getting a bed...
If you haven't had bed confirmed- you may want to do it...
Not sure what others experiences are...

Hi Mikimoo

Hope you are enjoying your trip in Australia. I will be going back to Australia early March for a week. We can catch up probably around end of March. This is my first so I am learning everything as I go. My husband and I have decided to deliver in Melbourne as this is our first so it will be nice to have our family support. I think I will need to fly back around 34 weeks of pregnancy.

Hi Ladies,

I am having my 1st baby too and due early July. It would be nice to meet other expectant mums and share this new experience especially when we are away from friends and family. Let me know if you are keen to meet up.

Regards,
3 Tower :lovedface

Hi 3Tower ! I know it's a short notice but we have a meeting this afternoon at the Grand Hyatt. The details are on the other post called High Tea in the same forum, if you can make it !
Congratulations ! (i'm also due early july).

Hi Frenchy!

Thanks for the quick reply! I would love to come this afternoon so please count me in. Would you like me to call the Grand Hyatt to change the number of adults coming? Will be there before 4 PM. Looking forward to meeting everyone! See you there!

Hi Julybaby
Hope your trip back to Melbourne was wonderful....
Good news in Macau is that i have found 2 other pregnant women here who are so lovely and nice, and we caught up for a quick coffee and chat last week. We will be doing coffee again this Sunday morning if you are interested... would be great to get a little support network/potential mums group here in Macau....
They have also arranged prenatal pilates class which i will be starting this coming tuesday, so sounds good.
Let me know if you are back in Macau and interested in catching up....
Mikala
