German tutor wanted

Hi we are a British family relocating from Switzerland. We shall be returning to Switzerland once our contract is finished in 3 years. Our 5 year old currently attends the Swiss International School and learns German 3 days a week. We have looked at the GSIS but are not sure if that is where we will send her. We would like for her to continue learning German and to also introduce our 22 month old to the language. Does anyone know of a tutor or organisation that could help us? Also if any native German speakers would like to get together so we can all practise that would be great too !!

Sure I do - all ages really. At the moment, I am primarily available in the mornings until 2pm, but no longer on the weekends, sorry. Some afternoons might become available soon.

Ayumi, just for your information, I have inquired too, but usually they are not very flexible in timing, as they teach at the school, and ask for about double my fee. But certainly, they are very qualified. One point to consider with those expat teacher though is that they tend to leave HK after a short time, so one needs to keep on changing teachers. Some kids don't like that.

German Tutor

Hi Everyone,
I am not sure why the other threads re German playgroups didn't show up for you. I have (and others) posted quite a number of messages regarding German Teaching, Playgroups and Pre-school in the past and most recently.
I guess, if you click on German, you might find them all, or maybe click on my name?
I am a teacher and a tutor for German and my youngest daughter is 9 years. I teach kids and adults of all ages. I have always run a German playgroup for toddlers and have a library of German toys and books, etc. Also, there was a German playgroup which will now be relocated closer to Central and will start again beginning of Dec. I will post the details here soon. Please watch out for it or contact me directly by private messaging.

Of course I teach anywhere, but if it is so far away, I would need to charge time and travel costs in addition and then, I suppose, it would be too expensive for you?
Can't you send the kids to Central during the week? I do cost-efficient private classes, semi-private and group classes there at the language school and have fantastic facilities, for both adults and kids.
