Recommending my helper

We're sadly being repatriated to the UK mid-August, and I'd like to recommend my helper Andrea if anyone is looking. She's been with us since the New Year only, but was with her previous employer for 9 years. She's helped look after my 10 month old son, who loves her, and is an excellent cook. We always have a clean house and clothes too! With her former employer she worked with dogs (10!!!) and slightly older toddlers/children.

She would like to stay on HK Island as she has family here, and requires live-in. She is 33 years old and Filipino. Please feel free to contact her directly on 5478 7200. PM me if you have any questions.

hi,
we have just moved to hk from london and have 14 month old baby.can you advise when your helper will be available?

Hi
I would also like to recommend my helpers.. I have 2 and they are sisters and have been working well but Im leaving my job and taking the kids with me abroad for now so will only need part time for husband. Both of them have been with me for almost 5 years and since i gave birth.. They are excellent with babies and kids.. also knows the in and out of HK! They have been taking the kids to many activities while I work full time and basically run the house. They are patient and extremely responsible especially with the kids. If anyone is interested please let me know..
I think they might prefer Western family but other than that I believe they are flexible. They can be on the job pretty quickly and Im happy to let them leave early if they are ready!

Ok, seems I posted about Andrea too soon as she's been offered roles, but people wanted her before I can let her go! So, she's still available - from 18th August. She has very good English, and as I said, would like to stay on the Island, but also likes the look of DB having had an interview out there too.

Do the sisters have to both be hired together? And are the live in or out? Thank you!

Looking for a new helper for a family in Sai Kung Country Park. Our current helper (1 year) takes no interest in my children whatsoever. They are not terrible children, but they need discipline (which hubby and I also provide). I need someone who isn't afraid to tell the kids "no" and who actually enjoys being with kids! My kids are active 5.5 & 7.5 year olds who love to sing, dance, bake, cook and help out. They just need someone who can guide them, play with them and include them in the daily routine.

We have a large 2100' house, but the ground floor is kept clean mostly by our other (male) helper, who also cares for our dogs and the garden.

The helper we are looking for can:
-plan & prepare simple, healthy meals (Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Greek, Lebanese, Filipino, Chinese).... we are not fussed for the type of cooking and appreciate an eclectic mix, just not everything fried!
-can do the appropriate marketing for such meals
-keep up with the laundry (not a lot of ironing, but some)
-can keep the house fairly clean & tidy
-can involve the children and get them "helping"... they love to cook, bake, do "chores" if it is presented in an interesting way
-will sit and watch a movie, play a game, talk to the kids, take them to the pool on a hot day, take them out to "wash" the car (i don't care if the car is clean afterwards, just that the kids are helping/having fun)
-will discipline the kids as and when needed

We would prefer a helper who takes a day off other than Sunday. Hubby works from home, so is around for support. I run 2 businesses. Sometimes, I am around a lot, sometimes not at all. We need someone who doesn't want/need micromanaging, but can just "get on with it".

We provide: 110' private bedroom, tv (dvds only, no access to cable or terrestrial tv), above minimum salary and a more than minimum food allowance.

If you know someone who may fit the above requirements, please ask them to contact me 6906 2722 or preferably by email [email protected] Thanks!
