Breastfeeding while IVF

Hi everyone,
I'm currently doing and IVF, and I'm thinking to continue to breastfeed my 8 mos old DD! But my Dr was telling me that my milk supply might decrease or even stop after 3-4 days of injection. The injection that I'm using is Puregon 200 unit/day. Has anyone gone through all this before?

I think you should discuss this with your dctor after all he is the one who knows the medical side of this process. I had IVF and to be honest with all the drugs you take not sure if this is good for your bfed baby. Also I had high prolactine levels and that caused my first attempt to fail. Now I imagine that when you are bfeeding your prolactine levels are high. IVF cycles are very different from the normal pregnancies. It all depends if you are on a long or short IVF protocol too - the long one induces menopause before kicking start the ovaries.Good luck

Ps Maybe you should try switching your little one to formula now so there is no drama when your milk stops and he doesnt like the formula?
