Need a FOOD PROCESSOR

Here we go again....

I think I tried to get a food processor about this time last year to no avail.

I really, really, really want to invest in a good food processor. Where can I buy those in HK? I haven't seen them at any of the electronic stores or even in the kitchen sections of any department stores.

For a nice medium-sized Black/Decker food processor in the States it's about $30-50 USD right now. For a really, really nice one around $100 USD. Is there anything comparable here in HK?

Last year, when I asked this same question, someone messaged me but it ended up being a blender that she wanted to sell. No, I don't need a blender. I have 2 already. I do need, a good-quality food processor for dicing salad and making other things.

Any tips, please let me know...

Thanks.

I love my Phillips Food Processor. I use it for Jamie Oliver's 30 Mins recipes. He chucks everything in the Food Processor.

I think I spent $500 something on it. I just used my credit card points and converted them to Fortress coupons. Check which store has it Fortress or Broadway first before you start converting points.

I think kenwood are pretty good. They come with lots of attachment parts, even a blender;-)
they re about 1000/1500$ I think.
For my last birthday( I know a bit pathetic but anyway I AM a mother of 3 now...) I got a Magimix fom the kitchen shop in Prince s building. A lot more expensive but I m in love with it...

we have a food processor.... i've used it about 4 times in 8 years. i just find it a b*tch to clean... so rarely use it. and the blades are so freaking sharp, i'm terrified to wash them for fear of slicing my finger/hand open!

Sell it to me. :)

I've got a kenwood food processor that I bought from sogo in causeway bay. Sorry can't recall how much it cost. They had quite a range there though.

Got Kenwood from Fortress. Love it. The capacity isn't that big but enough for family use here (i.e. not American size). It's around $1500 - $2000. Yes, it costs a lot more than in US but it is just supply and demand and competition(lack of) that determine the price.

I have the Kenwood too, bought it in City Plaza. Quite expensive, but i use it a lot. I had to sell all my blenders/shakers/mixers as this one do it all !

thanka, i will hold onto it a little longer. i'm hoping to send the new helper to some western cooking lessons, so it may yet prove useful....sorry!

See, I'm looking at Fortress online and it appears that they have Kenwood but it's not in stock. And I really don't want to trek all over HK to various branches to see if they just happen to have what I'm looking for. This has been my problem. I'm looking at a Kenswood one. I probably just need to call Fortress and see what they can tell me. I have never seen one at a store in HK.

I bought this model in Wing On (Sheung Wan branch) and they have a load of other makes too.
