If I think my baby may have Scarlet fever?

Apparently everything in Hong Kong shuts down if there is a Typhoon warning, even emergency hotlines...

If I suspect my baby has Scarlet fever should I take her to the hospital?

Agreed, better safe than sorry. I've only been to Canossa A&E as it's right next door to us but they seem very efficient with not too much waiting.

Particularly if she has a high fever, absolutely.

I would go. Are they showing particular symptoms of Scarlet Fever?

We're down to a T3 as of 4:00 so many places will have their staff back in place by 6:00. I'd call the outpatient numbers of your local hospital and see if they can see you tonight.

Side note: I went to Matilda Outpatient once in a T3. We spent nearly 30 minutes on the last 1km due to downed trees and stuck cars. You might call ahead to make sure the roads are clear if that is where you are heading.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I ended up taking her just to be on the safe side. Thankfully the doctor said it is most likely Roseola and prescribed some calamine lotion for her.
