I was told by someone that if my child is born in HK, he is automatically a permanent resident of HK. I'm not sure... Does anyone know if this is true?
My husband and I are not permanent residents.

Apologies for the delay. It looks like you or your spouse have to be permanent residents to be able to pass it on to your child.

Form ROP 145

Hi, Shri. You mentioned ROP145 in your attached article. I checked the Immigration Department's website, but this form is not available for downloading. Do you know where I can download a copy to save me a trip to their Wanchai office, so i can fill it out at home and mail it to them? With a newborn at home, i try to minimize my trips outside the home, if i can.Thanks.
