Would like to know if any of you can recommend good yoga and massage places for during the pregnancy?

:thanks

I tried the pregnancy massage at Ellespa when I was pregnant last year. The first time was fab but the second time wasn't great at all, the masseuse said she was afraid to hurt me! I think it depends on who you get.
I also did pregnancy yoga at Pure Yoga in Causeway Bay until 36 weeks, started at 12 weeks. It was wonderful! the stretching and breathing really helped me when the going was tough ( i was working while pregnant and also had a 5 yr old at home) Really recommend doing both massage and yoga for pregnancy! you deserve all the pampering!

Thanks Kara23, am definitely going to do both, just wanted to see which companies are better. For the massage, I have only heard that Ellespa does it, but wanted to see if there are other companues that offer it too.

I just had a pre-natal massage at Body Conscious on 16/F The Centrium in Central. It was really good and they have a proper massage bed with the hole in the centre. It cost $750 and was definitely worth it. I had Clarine and she was really good, I would definitely go back.

I also go to Pure Yoga on the same floor as Body Conscious. The Central studio has two classes per week on Tuesday and Thursday at 12.45pm.

Cheers! Maria.

Thanks pinemarten. I also know someone who went to Happy Foot during her whole pregnancy and she seemed happy about the experience too.

I went to Frederique spa for a pregnancy massage and it was WONDERFUL. They are in central. Also, have heard Annerly Midwives have masseuses, but am not sure whether this is for only those who use their services, or for anyone.

Oasis Spa has pregnancy massage also. But I never tried this before. I just tried their traditional massage before I get pregnant, and that's fantastic. I will try their pregnancy massage maybe 1-2 weeks later, as ppl don't suggest to have massage in the 1st trimester. I just pass the 1st trimester and would like to stay for a while longer before taking massage. Tell u gals more after I try.

Hi Pinemarten,

Just wondering if Happy Foot is in Central or is this the one in Happy Valley? Any therapist that you would recommend?

There are certain acupoints on our feet that might trigger contractions, so i would suggest one be careful about it if one were to go for a reflexology.

Happy Foot

Just went there today. Got a 50 minute massage for HKD250. It was nice but too short. They recommended the pressure point massage for pregnant ladies.

When I was pregnant few yrs ago, I did pregnancy massage in ellespa. I heard Body Conscious in Central also offer this service.

Another choice is Alqvimia Urban Spa in Causeway Bay, where they use 100 % natural plant oil for massage. They also have a specific oil for stretch marks for pregnant and breast feeding mom.

I am doing my pregnancy massage in Oasis Spa which is located in CWB and Central. It is good to have massage esp. you have back pain! I normally go there once in two weeks.

BTW, do I need to join package from Pure Yoga if I join their pre-natal yoga? Any other yoga center offer pregnancy yoga?
